The sea breeze

TM Rosé was born in 2014, to complete the picture of our landscape with a tribute to the beaches of our coast. A small production of rosé wine, with a marine dawn colour.
Delicate and fresh, it has a gentle structure that makes it perfect both as an aperitif and to accompany fish-based dishes.

It is composed of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Mourvèdre, early harvested by hand, from dawn to midday.
The grapes are softly and briefly pressed, and then ferment in steel vats at low temperatures to preserve freshness and aromas. Once the blend has been established, it undergoes cold tartaric stabilization before being bottled.
It refines in the bottle for 4 months before being released onto the market.

Of a shiny pale pink, TM Rosé 2020 offers to the nose genoruse notes of citruses, pink grapefruit, wild strawberries, pineapple, medlar and geranium. Fresh, rich and stimulating, with a sapid and persistent ending. It confirms to be a very versatile wine, perfect for the “aperitivo” and to accompany vegetarian pizzas, oysters, white fishes, fish and meat tartares.

TM Rosé 2019

Winter was regularely wet and quite mild, with sporadic nights below zero. The vines sprouted in the third decade of March. Spring was cold and very rainy, which slowed the vegetative growth of the plants. Veraison started in mid-July, later than usual for our standards. Summer was hot but not torrid, refreshed in fact by some mid-July rain. The Merlot for the TM Rosé was hand harvested, from sunrise to noon, on the 30th and 31st of August, the Cabernet Franc on the 5th of September. Both 6/8 days later than in the past vintages.

Of a luminous pale pink with pristine golden glare, TM Rosé 2019 offers at the nose hints of mallow and geranium, citruses, green apple and sea pebbles. In the mouth it is fresh and stimulating, very linear, sapid and persistent. A really versatile wine, perfect for the “aperitivo” and to accompany oysters, white fish, and fish and meat tartares.

TM Rosé 2017

Winter was mild and dry, followed by a warm Spring with low rainfall. The phenological phases were quite regular but the plant development was less vigorous than usual. The high temperatures and the scarcity of rainfall continued throughout the Summer. Veraison was precocious, around the 10 of July. To capture the freshness of the fruit we had to move up the harvest of the Merlot to the 14 and 15 of August, and to the 21st for the Cabernet Franc.

Of a luminous pale onion skin colour, TM Rosé 2017 opens up to the nose with great richness of floral and juicy summer fruit notes: geranium, white peach, medlar fruit, together with pink grapefruit and winter cherry. In the mouth it is rich but delicate, with a fresh persistence that confirms it as very versatile wine, perfect both for “aperitivo” and to accompany a meal.

With its classic pale onion-skin colour, this vintage presents lovely notes of apricot, medlar fruit, pear, winter cherry and pink grapefruit. 90/100 FALSTAFF – 2023
Rosa salmone chiaro e limpido.

Bevi ora.

90/100 VINIFERA MUNDI by Jean François Guyard
This is clearly one of the best rosés I’ve tasted in the last years. An hedonistic wine. Highly recommended.

89/100 VINOUSMEDIA, 2021 – Eric Guido
Pretty notes of fresh-cut roses and young peach lift up from the 2020 TM Rosé. It’s soft textured yet lively and fresh, with ripe orchard fruits balanced by juicy acidity and sweet citrus. While a bit short on the finish, it’s pleasantly crisp and perfumed. This is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

90/100 FALSTAFF, Simon Staffler
Of a candy pale pink colour, at the nose ti offers fragrant wildberries notes with hints of wild strawberry and spices. Fresh and crispy at the palate, it is immediate, of great drinkability. Juicy finale.

92/100 WINESCRITIC.COM, Raffaele Vecchione, september 2021
With an extremely captivating sensorial profile, it alternates notes of peach flowers, magnolia, white almonds, lemongrass, wild thyme and talc. In the background there is more, the beauty of a delicate rosemary and hot grounded stones. Full body, tense and vivid at the palate it stretches out with a notable persistence. Vibrant and dry, impossible not to love it. Drink now.

Blend di Merlot e Cabernet Franc, il TM Rosé ’20 è delicato e fresco negli aromi fruttati, mentre in bocca è sapido e beverino.

89/100 DOCTOR WINE by Daniele Cernilli, 2021

Terrific, bright and breezy, red plum and radicchio-redolent, full-on Tuscan pink, mostly merlot, topped up with cabernet franc.

Olly Smith, may 2020
Structure and flavor, TM is a wine phenomenal to have with food. Trust me, I had it the other day with roast beef sandwich and it blew my mind because it has structure like a red wine but loads of refreshment exactly like a white. It is two wines in one and it is all the pleasure in one place, in your face, in a sunny day! Get involved!

88/100 DOCTOR WINE by Daniele Cernilli, 2020
Elegante nuance rosa.

89/100 VINOUSMEDIA, 2020 – Eric Guido
The 2019 TM Rosé is fresh yet also quite earthy, leaning toward savory herbs and crushed stone minerality, as notes of young strawberry and pretty florals come forward. On the palate, soft textures give way to a mix of ripe red berries and melon tones, carried by brisk acids. It finishes a bit short, yet with a mouthwatering, almost-salty quality, which just begs you to take another sip. There may not be unseen depths here, but the 2019 Tenuta Monteti is ready to give a lot of pleasure.

SUNDAY TIMES
Will Lyons, 27 May 2019. One of my favourite is from Tuscany. In fact, it could well be my rosé of the year. When I first tasted this Tuscan wine, I thought it could be my rosé of the summer. I haven’t changed my mind. It is a delicious blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc: crisp, dry and full of feisty Italian personality.

THE MAIL MAGAZINE
Matthew Jukes, 15 June 2019. My favourite Italian rosé of the year, this has a delicate and alluring taste that’s impossible to resist – especially with Seared Scallops With Serrano Ham.

86/100 THE WINE ADVOCATE, 30 November – Monica Larner
This is a pale pink and refreshing rosé made with a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The 2016 TM Rosé achieves the palest of pink colors and offers a subdued bouquet with assorted wild berry and cranberry aromas. The finish is lean, short and crisp. This is a pleasantly easy-drinking wine that I happily paired with Chinese takeout.
